Psychology Services

We offer evidence-based treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
Treatment is available for a wide range mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, personality disorder, grief, and occupational stress.
We also offer Perinatal and infant mental health services including antenatal and postnatal anxiety and depression, attachment and bonding, perinatal loss, and adjustment to parenting.
Treatment is available for individuals from children through to older adults. Group therapy may be offered from time to time.
Early intervention and preventative therapies also offered in areas such as relapse prevention, suicide prevention, and perinatal mental health.

Perinatal Psychology

Our treatment providers are all registered (or provisionally registered) psychologists with postgraduate training in clinical psychology.

Perinatal psychology typically refers to assistance with emotional and adjustment difficulties during the perinatal period (from when conception is being considered through to when the infant is around three years of age). Infant mental health refers to the healthy social and emotional development of infants in the period from birth to three years of age.

Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Services include:

Pregnancy support counselling
Treatment for antenatal and postnatal depression and/or anxiety
Maternal exhaustion
Perinatal loss
Post-termination distress
Survivors of sexual trauma
Preparation/Adjustment to parenting
Attachment and bonding
Infant mental health

Rural Psychology

Rural Psychology Tasmania is a division of Dr Tess Crawley & Associates, offering evidence-based psychological services to rural communities in Tasmania.

We offer rural psychological services primarily under the Federal Government funded STPI (previously ATAPS) service delivery model through our partnership with Primary Health Tasmania. Services are also available under Better Access (Medicare), or on a full-fee paying basis, depending on client eligibility and affordability.

Our treatment staff are postgraduate trained registered (or provisionally registered) psychologists and mental health accredited social workers.
